George Farkass

Managing Director, Network Sales, LATAM, Intelsat
With more than 25 years of experience in sales, marketing and product management in the telecommunications industry, George Farkass serves as LATAMs Managing Sales Director for Intelsat, where he has been responsible for generating the sales strategy for the networks business unit and its execution throughout Latin America.

Prior to Intelsat, Farkass spent 1 year as an expat in Mexico City as commercial director for Altán Redes, a Mexican company that operates the 5G and 4.5G LTE broadband Shared Network, and 4 years in El Salvador as corporate vice president for Tigo, a company in which he also served as global regional director of products, based in Miami.

Farkass developed his commercial expertise in the ICT industry while serving as regional vice president for Coresite, senior sales director for Terremark Worldwide, and as country manager for Telcordia Technologies in Caracas, Venezuela.

George holds a BS in Finance and International Business from Florida International University and a BA in Economics from Universidad Metropolitana in Caracas, Venezuela; he also holds a Master of Business Administration from Florida International University's Chapman Graduate School of Business.
